Ayco launches Community TeamWorks 2019 to give back in local communities

Update 07.02.2019 1 MIN READ

Last month, Goldman Sachs’ Community TeamWorks (CTW) began its 22nd season of volunteer projects. Ayco associates throughout the country will participate again this year as the firm works to provide 150,000 hours of service to local communities in honor of the Goldman Sachs’ 150th Anniversary.

Each year, Ayco’s Office of Corporate Engagement partners with non-profit organizations near office locations across the country, allowing Ayco associates to serve communities where they work and live. Projects typically include visiting the elderly, cleaning up parks, repairing veterans’ facilities, working with children and much more.

Associates are welcome to recommend personally meaningful projects for inclusion in CTW. If their project is selected, the associate serves as team captain for the day of community service. Goldman Sachs associates around the world can choose from over 1,000 projects to volunteer their time. The firm gives associates who sign up the day off to make a positive impact in the community.

“Giving back to the communities in which we live and work is extremely important. CTW gives associates an opportunity to give back to the community in a special way,” said Marcia Cognetta, VP of Ayco’s Office of Corporate Engagement. Cognetta has long held a passion for volunteering and as a leader in CTW, she’s been able to exponentially increase her impact. “It’s a dream job. To be able to be a lead in CTW is an incredible opportunity to not only impact the community but help people realize talents they didn’t know they had.”
